Title: Cast A Road Before Me
Genre: Contemporary Women’s Fiction
Author: Brandilyn Collins
I heard Ms. Collins speak at this years’ ACFW conference. She’s an amazing woman. When I found out she had self-published some books, I searched for one that interested me.
I’m a big fan of books set in the 50s, 60s, and so on. When I came across Cast A Road Before Me, I knew I’d found a book to read.
Jessie was orphaned at sixteen and taken to live with her aunt and uncle in Bradleyville, Kentucky. She not only lost her mother, but her life in the city. Six years later, Jessie has her mind set on leaving the small town life to pick up where her mother left off in the big city of Cincinnati, but is this the path God wants her on?
I joined Jessie with her struggles and heartache. I fell in love right along side her and lamented over the choices she had to make. Ms. Collins is a powerful storyteller.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Women’s Fiction with a hint of suspense!
